Hi. So ive used Gayquartz Ceramicoat before. And I can honestly say that over a year of 1bm and abused drying towel maintenance there is no marring and minimal swirling on the two cars ive applied it too.
However. It was a ballache.
C1 seems to be easy enough to apply. But whats its scratch...
My G1 has been on about 2 months and theres no visible signs of degridation anywhere. Doesnt sheet as well as Rain racer would for example which I have on my side windows, but its more than adequate.
If you want to have a wax you can leave over winter, Colly 476 would be a good bet or FK1000p...
Nothing, just gets a lot of looks and attention. Had it two years and ive been waiting for it to happen. Its low, shiney and is reasonably good looking (To some) and its also only 2 years old.
Been waiting for this to happen for a while TBH. Anyways its about a foot long, half will polish out, but the other is down to primer. Has anyone seen any examples of using a paint stick like you would stone chips - fill, possibly with cellulose or laquer, then massage into the paintwork...
You dont want that s**t. trust me.
i remember when 3m had an offer on this stuff, bought loads of it. thought id never need anymore again, but im down to my last 2 rolls now i think.
Ive seen a 182 on 25mm spacers. It looked horrendous. If it was lowered, or ran a good amount of negative camber it would look ok. But this was a stock 182. So just looked like a tractor.
Born To Be Mild on my own (or those with expensive wax), doesnt strip/doesnt leave anything behind, and then Hyperwash as my Bulk, previously Shampoo Plus for the last 5 years. Considering a move to Wolfs White Satin though from BTBM. Also I use a zymol sponge cause im well ard innit. I also use...
Sometime the initial cost isnt what botheres most people. Its keeping up with costs each month after, spend less on fuel etc then you have more money free to play with or pay bills. Although yes, usually its all in the head.
Re: What have you ordered?
Really want to try P1 system & The MF system. Trouble is I dont machine enough cars to warrant buying new polish as ive already got shitloads.
On the cards;
Rain Racer (Need)
Werkshat Prime Strong (Want for Windows)
G101 (Sort OF Need)
Swissvax Wheel Brush (f**k...
You need a rotary polisher, some thin polishing diuscs (Cant remember which they were) and some Cerium oxide powder. Mix it to your required grade, and spend f**king agers doing it. Takes a long long time.
Id sooner smash my windscreen by accident.
No.
Thats all it is (See post #2). SRP has abrasives in it, so removes marring, fills light swirls and cleans up the paintwork a bit, it even adds a layer of protection, but id have better luck staring at the paintwork and chanting an tribal curse at the car in the hope it would repel rain.
