Thanks a lot mate, will have a cheeky gander!
But the sparkler had nothing to do with it, altough I can understand why you would think it was the obvious answer. I took a few between these two after changing the settings and they were pink. Deleted them on the cam though unfortunately.
Big Peaches - It probably has lots to do with it, but as you can see with the first pic, it's not half as bad there. Serves me right for fiddling around instead of just getting on with it lol. Both of these were on Auto WB setting too.
Chris - Ha yes mate I'm addicted! Always really been into...
If you can, stretch for the bundle with the 55-200mm too.
Standard lens is great, but I felt really limited when it came to zooming, so ordered this a day later.
Hi:o
Finally got my D40 after 'umming and 'aaaring about what to get for the past year or so.
Just went out with my gash tripod tonight for a play around and firstly took. Excuse the s**te photo, was just testing the exposure!
Thought this turned out ok(ish) for a tryout, so moved the...
Judging by reviews, the D60 is the D40 with more megapixels and a few extra features.
I've just had this dilemma, opted for the D40 and spending my extra pennies on some better glass:approve:
You'd think that mate but it's all down to the first part of the postcode. Arborfield is still RG2 too.
Cheers guys, some good suggestions here, keep them coming:D
Did you read my post above on insurance? For me to insure a 1*2, I'd be looking at over 2k, something I'm not willing to pay - plus if I did pay that, you'd be one of the first people to come back saying I'm stupid for paying that;)
Zetec S is a good shout, joined up to their owners club not...
Lol thats a new one!
I was actually after a 172 next when I turn 20 (in Feb), but really can't justify the insurance - living in a s**t postcode FTL:dapprove:
So kind of had my heart set on a 1.6 dynamique, but after this morning I'm not too sure. Want something fun but insurance friendly at...
...by getting it back from the bodyshop.
Had a run in with a deer a few weeks ago, and got it back last night. Bodywork is now immaculate, and probably much better than it was before.
But it feels so crap to drive. It's probably always been like this but I've never noticed, and this is...
Awesome guide, thanks for taking the time to write that up mate.
Will be looking at getting some new glass for the D40 in January, possibly a nice 50mm, this seems to fit the bill, and is cheap too:

Good choice?
I'll have to keep my eyes peeled, live in Reading but work in Fleet so constantly driving round Hampshire.
Meet sounds good, a lot more people than I though seem to be from around here!
Lol standard dynamique's are everywhere, not bothering spending any money on this one as I'm getting rid next month! But will get to a local meet when one's on.
