Lol @ Paul, I had a bet with myself that the exhaust pic would be up before midday!
On a similar theme this quote from the 'Your Cliosport Piss-Up' thread still makes me spray tea all over the monitor and ive read it countless times!
Looking good mate, very impressed with your camera, looks really vivid, good luck keeping the car looking like that! I spent a day doing mine, porter cable the works, 20 miles later and it looks rallyed!
Im more interested by the Clio's than the Conti Gt!
The rep is mint, you don't post enough pictures of it! The other Clio is also a uber rare dci 100 in a cracking colour, if the rep had the dci 100 engine I'd have it off you!
The car in question had steel wheels and wheel trims though... Maybe they can tell by pedal feel or something, even though they aren't meant to drive it on the road for an mot either.
Yeah I wouldn't give more than £1800 for it, i mean how much life has that got left in it at 126k especially with it being a learner car, its not as if that was motorway miles.
You would be a nutter to touch it!
You can't really compare a dci to a 1.2 16v as the dci's are always more expensive...
Cheers bud I will look into that.
By the way can anyone tell what the car is behind the focus? Matt was taking the piss last night in the pub as I asked who's the ****** was? Just want to see if anyones as geeky as me!
No for a very good reason.
The Cup is all about handling, the non essentials have been taken away to give as much of a non-watered down driving experience as possible (in a Clio).
Why would you want to b****cks that handling by dropping it on its arse and sticking some dustbin lids on it.
Behave Maz you can't be serious!
I know Renault get alot of stick on here but there one of many, my old mans had company cars for years and there all as bad as each other, Audi, BMW, Mercedes, Vauxhall, infact the only dealer we have had good dealings with have been Saab. And that garage has...
Make sure the reg plate is correct, I heard of one dealer who delivered a new car and the plates where one digit out!
Obivously as said above check for things like locking wheels nuts, tyre foam, spare key etc but I would also check for wheel kerbage, scratches etc on the body work.
+1 very lucky,
I imagine they had no way of proving your speed or not enough evidence to prosecute, usually they try to make an example. Having said that the warning has clearly made you stop and think so I guess the Officer thought that in this case that would be just as effective as a fine.
Fair point, however I don't want a thread from you moaning when you've been crashed into by what is technically an uninsured driver after they've discovered their £3k piece of paper is worth sweet f**k all.
My view has allways been if you can't afford to insure a car properly use public transport.
