I dont particually drive fast now anyway becuase i think whats the point its only a 1.2, but i supose if i had a 182 i would put my foot down, also it gives me something to work for like next year when i go to uni i can think right 3 more years hard work then i can get a faster car...
could anyone tell me the correct tyre pressure for my 2005 1.2 16v clio extreme 4 (dynamique alloys) please. I would look in the book but the idiot at the garage still hasnt got it to me
thanks
brett
thats not bad atall is it wish i could get insured on a 182 for £1500 the thing is though you only passed your test yesterday, i passed about 7 weeks ago so i have more experience than you but just because you are older your less of a risk, thats harly fair is it. not having a go at you mate...
I'd do it mate then when idiots like me in 1.2 16V's fancy a race you'll smoke the and leave them confused. wishing i'd have got atleast the 1.4 16v now but i like my car becuase its tidy, decent spec and was very cheap.
how lucky are you having a 182 as a 1st car wouldnt of thought any insurance company would touch you on it at any age without atleast a years experience.
Congrats though mate, its an awsome feeling when they say you've passed i went yehh n punhced the steering i have no idea why....
ment to put that up but forgot mate, here it is : http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/2005-RENAULT-CLIO-RENAULTSPORT-172-CUP-BLACK_W0QQitemZ270175344290QQihZ017QQcategoryZ9861QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
Just looking on ebay then and there is a 55 plate 172, he says its a cup but its clearly a FF. did a checkitfree check on it and got this back
"Thank you for using checkitfree.com
You checked the registration number YE55OCJ. According to our records
this vehicle is a Renault Clio...
yeh i'm going tomorrow, it only came on when i was droping my girlfriend off before, will go the petrol station on the way to work tomorrow its only 2 mins away.
Does having the fuel light on your car damage the engine, everybody says you shouldnt let it get low but is there any proof of this, according to the dashboard trick i have 8 liters left anyway.
At the end of the day mate 80% of the time you drive your car to get from A to B your stuck in traffic, on motorways etc its better to have the extra's then than be a few meters faster to 100 MPH imo anyway, besides with a grand you can get cup splitter and spoiler and a full exhaust system...
i cant wait to drive something over a 1.2, well i have but it was my driving instructors 1.6 307 but that doesnt count. I have drove my grandads 330bhp and got knows how much tourque cement mixer (only on small private land) that was fun.
Its the battery mate, it has enough power for cd player, wipers etc but it takes a hell of a lot more power to start the engine, my battery always used to go on my scooter and it made the clicking noise, shame you cant kick start a car.
What a suprise the guy's from wigan, bloody pie eaters. Hope it gets sorted mate, this is exactly why cyclists shouldnt be on the road without insurance because they'd claim off us if we hit them but we can't claim of them if they hit us, hows that fair :S
I wouldnt realy want to cut the bumper on my car though as it will affect resale value and i'm not sure how long i want to keep my car for, all depends on whether i go uni or not etc.
its funny in my car when my mates from college get in at dinner because because my passenger seat is always quite far back who ever is in the front has to crush the person behind them's legs so it clunks so it can be moved forward
well the has like 40BHP more as standard and i don't think cams are going to make that difference up so you will still win, if i was him i'd just sell the SRI and buy a clio 172 PH2, wont be much price difference.
I dont particually like digital fuel guages, if i want to be accurate i use the mini self diagnostic thingy that tells you exactly how much fuel you have left on board in liters.
What is the purpose of the warning light check mode on clio's, Where you swich the ignition on while holding the trip computer button in, the only thing i use it for is it tells you how much fuel you have on board, are there any other features to it?
