Save for coilovers. You can pick up a set for as little as £150-£180, they're far far better than springs from experience. Get the tracking done too, once it's lowered.

Yes... If you get the mild steel, the black paint tends to come off very easily - it's what i've got, you can see it just poking out of the bottom. Decat video here: ashman01 has one too IIRC, might be worth a search.
