What i thought at first. I would do your own first. Or buy a clearcoated scrap bonnet just so you can see how things work. That way, when you grow a pair of balls and buy a real machine polisher (rotary) you can see how the thing works and what happens when you burn through paintwork. Also, with...
People will reccomend you use clay to remove the baked on brake dust but infact it doesnt always work, i use wonder wheels to remove kaked on shite but it is incredibly acidic, works very well mind and takes a lot less time and effort, but you are stripping a few microns of clearcoat away...
It depends on how much you want to spend really. If you spend some time now and clean them properly, remove all contaminates with clay etc and bothering to remove the wheels, its best if you polish them up with whatever you like and then wax or seal them, id go with collinite 476s and give it...
Some proper sick c***s around. Mind you im not in the slightest bit envious of your mint R27 :o in my favourite colour :o.
Wouldnt ever damage someone elses car though.
Ive just bought some Megs sanding paper and some DA sanding pads, Mirka i think they were. Wont be using them anytime soon...
Ive just had mine put on (HR's), im taking it up to RS tuning for a remap at some point and he said theres a guy that sets up coils. I really want them set up properly though, corner weighted, tracking etc etc etc.
Tell me about it, the GT is a beast compared to my old MK2. Could do the Dynamique in a full day
Like Shadowness above me says too, LOT of work and effort goes into it, i probably detail on the same level as most on here, im no professional detailer but i know what im doing most of the time...
I just spent a grand on mine ! And i dont even own a 197!
The difference between coils and springs is definately noticable. Cant really describe it in words, but for lowering springs id use the words crash and ouch, and then move my hand a bit like a gay man would to try and emulate the cars...
Yeah its not been done yet as i want to set the height up myself, i was hoping i could takle it to RS tuning when i go up there for a remap.
My old MK2 was well out. Drove the GT about for a few weeks then i got in mine to take it to the new owner, couldnt believe what a piece of s**t it was lol.
Does this mean my tracking is ? The car is brand new and was SPOT ON to begin with but since having my coils fitted its slightly out, very annoying on a long mway road or something.
I got the 1L bottle, my first dilution ratio was 1:1 as i wanted to get it to shift some heavy s**t. It didnt, its a great wheel cleaner but for baked on crap clay struggles to remove, theres wonder wheels.
I think id would have killed myself in a 2ltr at that age. They arent fast no but they pick up pace if you work them. At 17,18 they are more than enough.
I have friends who are 18 years old, one of them is driving a BMW 650i (07) the other drives a 58 118d thats been molesterd by AC schnitzer...
