Recently bought another Ph1 steering wheel (2nd hand) as it was in far better condition than my poor excuse for one.
Now although the new one is far far far less worn i'ts quite filthy, what are the suggestions for cleaning this without rubbing it so much it looks like the original one ;)

When i finished work earlier i got into my car and started it up, straight away i spotted the clock had reset, so i checked to see if the trip computer had lost all details and as i imaged it had.
Signs immediately point to battery but that would be strange as i only replaced the battery less...
i disagree, with my old Polo Gti (Euro Styled so looked ace went crap) i used to just spray off any loose dirt mid week, did the job imo.
Depends what the dirt is like, winter dirt will cling like buggery so i doubt it will come off with a simple hosing.
