Five grand ?! Where are you looking ? There's 15 2.0s on autotrader under £4k at the moment. Engine swaps were borderline pointless 10 years ago when 2.0s were still £5k+ as you'd still need to change most of the cars electrics and underbody to get it to work properly. Now you can get them...

It's a Fabia one.. they're about £15 or so from a dealer. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/251153661821 Will be about 50mm too long so you need to lop the ends off once it's fitted, but it's very soft plastic. Self tappers in along the bumper lower and Bob's your Monkhouse. Search 'fabia splitter'...

How much is a new set of coils and plugs ? If they're original, could be worth doing anyway....

If it stinks of fuel, that tells me it's not getting a spark - not that it's not getting fuel... so I'd leave the pump alone probably !

Isn't it basically a mk2 underneath ? Pull up the rear bench.. I'd guess there......

Have you seen the car ? Have you checked everything is plugged in properly ? Could just be a coilpack popped off, or might have shat a plug ?

Has it definitely got them wired in ? As in, does the stalk have both front and rear.. apologies if a very stupid question. Someone might have fitted them just for looks ... I think the unit pops out the front so undo the bolts and have a look to see what's what.. You might be able to see it...
