    probly corroded wiring and lamp unit, pop it out with a screw driver and have a look at the connection, renault do a repair kit for it.

    i would soak it in tar and glue remover, leave for 20mins, then wash off and polish/wax afterward.

    we get a 172 in at work quite often, 51 plate done just over 6k last time it was in, old boy has ha it from new, he says he keeps it in his garage and polishes it every week, and that he will never sell it lol.

    ive seen some clio handbrake lever mountings rotton out, check that. Front brakes, do the usual clean up, and regrease, i expect its a seized slider.

    fine on windows imo, i can only see it being a problem if your pouring it over in direct sunlight.

    slight squeeking noise

    noisy clutch release bearing, get a mate to put his foot on the clucth pedal when ur under the bonnet, if the noise goes then its the release bearing.
