Top Car for your age tbf. Not suprised you cant get insured on an M3 lol!
Could on something like a Megane R26 but much faster and the premiums will rocket!
In all fairness though, i think there are two sides to this.
1) An M3 is more of a car, not just down to badge snobbery etc, but they are obviously better than a Clio due to power, trim, top of the range 3 series (In my eyes and most others) in which case, it isnt down to the badge snobery...
Had my F plates on 14 months without trouble so far. Jinx touch wood!
Been all over the country in the car. Been pulled over for going a tad fast, they saw them, and were luckily very nice and let me off for speeding. Am going back to normal plates soon though!
^ Thats another thing i forgot to mention!
There are barely any tuning upgrades available without being a guinea pig or spending £0000's minimum!
Where as with the 172/182 you have cams easily available tried and tested etc.
Oh, The Exhausts are a problem, and very expensive to replace standardly (£1000ish) but most replace them with Janspeeds for around £350 (Better than the standard ones anyway)
TBH, Im on 206info and you dont hear of many suffering from unreliability.
There are some that have had cut out issues with different models, and the obvious coil packs going, but other than that, you dont hear many!
As mentioned above, most 206 Gti 180s only run 165bhp.
Interiors are on another level to the Clios (Dash, Seats etc) I love my 180 seats! This is about the only thing imo that is much better than the clio.
They are a fair bit cheaper to insure for young drivers compared to the 172/182s. I...
I wouldnt cancel my policay, may end up i have to borrow the £3.5k to buy my 182 but im not willing to lose around 6 months of a year towards a years NCB. Im only 19 so need to keep them knocking up.
Just thought some policies may 'freeze' a policy in the time you are looking to buy a new car.
That is what i was questioning whether that was an issue.
What happens in the time between owning the car you have sold, and buying a new one. (Could be 2 months as ill be at Uni so wont NEED a car)
Im with Bell btw
Sorry, its not the clearest of posts but couldnt find a clear way to say it. Its clear in my head lol :)
Thats what im thinking of doing, not sure if when you fill in the documents to hand ownership over though that it will inform your insurance or if i can just keep it running seeing as ive...
Looking to sell my 206 in the coming months and buy a 182.
Currently have 8 months left on my insurance.
If i sold my 206 in 2 months time, meaning i had 6 months left on the insurance policy, when you send the V5 off to change drivers, does that inform your insurance, or would i be ok not...
