Is it worth it ? I know what involved and that you get the odd extra Horse Powah, but does it iron out the torque atall so to speak ?
Reason i ask is that the GT loses its torque BIG STYLE at 4000 and i know itll eventually piss me off, would a remap be able to either iron it out a little...
I had a go on a mates and i liked it. I want to get a Failberry, either the Bold 9k or the storm 2. So long as it sends texts and has an mp3 player on it its all good.
Fantastic lads thanks for the help, ill do that then !! :)
God knows how it swirls so easily Ali, its so hard. Ill invest in a cheap kestrel and a Megs cutting pad.
Well what would you reccomend then ? Rotary and what pad and polish ? We have Menz polish and SFX pads currently (Compound, power finish and final finish. Also, would it be worth one person doing the car with the Rotary to remove the swirls, and then have another going round on the DA to ger rid...
Aye we have some 3M on the way although its well overdue. Think we will be investing in a wool pad and a rotary.
Knows it mate ive learned the hard way.:( Ive done a few renaults and the odd ford before and they have been Piss easy.
As i mentioned before i was detailing (or trying) my mates 118d. We as in 2 of us, spent 5 hours opn the bonnet alone. The guys at ACS have royally fucked the paintwork. I think wetasanding is in order but its not something ive done before and im a little wary of it.
Ive done a lot of merc's...
haha i cant remember what he said exactly but i know it was along the lines of that he shouldnt of had it on track really. Said it was very good though, nippy and really it kept up with other things except for the big straights.
Haha cheers, cant wait, Went for the Standard car in the common blue haha. I saw a black one down at cadwell and didnt like it and i really like the blue. Ive had black before btw keeping it clean - :dead:
I wish id of gone for the bluetooth and usb socket but the RCA will do nicely, itll be a...
Thankyou. We clearly said no, and i know they have to do it and blah blah blah and it wasnt the guy doing it that was the problem it was the stuff we had to go through. Although the guy was a tosser, just not because of the questions.
New Meggy Dynamique looks nice i think, interior is nice...
Jeez. Just been to order a god damm car and its taken me over an hour, the stealer (as you lot call them) was full of s**t and i had to answer a shitload of questions as to why i didnt want to order that paint guard shite and other pointless crap. I mean what zie s**t. Are they all like this ...
Well no not regularrrrllylylylyly bleurgh. It strips lsp's and itl play havoc with your seams and other rubber bits. I used it once on my dads car after a clay to try degrease it further. it was in a right state and it did the job.
Well ive been and driven it, nice car, relativly grounded, its stiffer than the dynamique i have but no where near as stiff as a 197 cup. Should be plenty of fun.
Its true what they say in the reviews, quiet below 4000rpm and then noisy after up to about 6800rpm. Theres a HUGE torque drop...
Yeah i completely agree with you mate, like i said nippy but not fast.
Im supposed to be test driving the clio GT but i think the guy sold the "display" model on sunday and hasnt rang me to tell me. So im not getting my hopes up.
He is being, went to a PH meet today with him, drives it very well, gives it the beans but doesnt "rag" it as such. Me and another mate are giving it a full detailing session this monday so keep an eye out on here and Detailing world for a full write up if your interested. Paintwork is in a...
lasts agers the blackfire, im due a new bottle too. I really do reccomend wearing gloves lol its rarther greasy, and dont over apply it, wipe the excess off once your done or itll end up all over your wheels. God i sound like a right retart.
Clean your tyres with something like an all purpose...
I used to use the G220 mate, went through three replacements before giving up on them, about as reliable as a 2nd gen ipod....... I would buy a rotary, theyre not scary like people seem to make out but you need to get the knack of not leaving holograms everywhere it can be a little difficult at...
Unlucky mate, the thing was flying at Cadwell when i saw it, glad youve got a spare box to go back on !!! Is it another 1.8 16v box or one from the F4R ???
