if its got a whiney type noise from the engine then its more than likely gunna be noisy water pump bearing or noisy tensioner, with that milege i would be doing the belts water pump etc first thing.- Alastair.

micra will be quicker to be honest mate. Clio 3s are quite heavy, they put the 1.2 16v in the clio 2 and that was quite sluggish.- Alastair.
