172 not confidence inspiring in the snow

Pretty sure my car wont get off my drive if it snows, i have about 5mm of clearance between my bumper and the road now, with out snow on it :/

    Matte / Satin paint

I used to use matt black on my bike wheels, was always really easy to touch up by lightly spraying it :)

    PH1 Flamer.

New wheel fitted, shame about the blue dash! And these turned up from these HrRacing off here, they have a website too but i cant find it. Top qaulity and pretty decent price too. I tested them and they seem to lay pretty well and be a decent fit, ill get them in once i get some black...

    Exhaust phase 1

powerflow dont have a good reputation on here tbh, the exhausts ive seen have fitted badly and had poor welding (could be down to the garage) Ktec make a stealth exhaust and so do BTB, aswell as others.

    PH1 Flamer.

Boring update. Got home a decent time today, squeezed the car in the garage and changed the spark plugs and oil and filter. (waiting on air filter still) 5mm rear spacers on also, ill get some pics of them on the car when i get a chance to wash it/it stops raining :) Oil filter was a b**ch...

wheel spacer advice for my ph1

Youll be fine with 25s then, and yes cheap tyres! Same job, but made of steel so heavier. http://www.motorsportworld.co.uk/frame-manranges.asp?code=7

    caesed adjuster ring on coilovers

With my old racelands, i put the rear adjusters in a vice and used a massive pair of stilsons to remove them! When they get ceased they are a b**ch :(

wheel spacer advice for my ph1

Running the standard wheels? if so 20mm or 25mm hubcentrics for the front should be alright! my mate has 25mm spacers on the front on the Oz F1s with no scrubbing etc. I also run 25mm delta mics, heavier tha the more expensive aluminium but only £50ish delivered from motorsport world. I also...

My Renault Clio 172 Phase 1

Your noise could be either loose topmount or broke topmount, the bearing went on mine a while back, it would make a kind of bouncy tapping noisy (hard to explain). Ive heard good things about that french car breakers yard place, never been there mind.

    Who says Clio's are impractical...

When my girlfriend quit uni I brought her home, had the car stacked to the roof with her clutter with the seats out. Was amazed! The exhaust also kept scraping the floor..

How reliable is the range left on the trip computer?

Mines useless, with about an 1/8th of a tank left it says i still have over 200miles left, my mates ph1 does the same. did they change the trip computer from ph1 to ph2? or is just coincidence neither of them work lol.

Cheapest way to go low and hard (ooo errr)

Eibach springs wont get you low. Stay clear of cheap coilovers. Buy some 2nd hand coilies cheap, best option imo.

Airbag light with after market wheel...

My OMP boss came with a resistor, used electric tape and and strapped to the original airbag connectors, no light came on! Will the above ebay link work for removing the lights on for the seat airbags?

May be worth getting your mot done before January

Ive known people fail MOT's on harness'es through poor mounting, its alright if you use holes/bolts already there for the original seats or seatbelts apparently. I might just take mine, see what they fail it on and only fix those issues :)

Did I pay over the odds for my 182 then?!

I would say its a decent price, my mate just got a 182 with both cup packs, in black paid £2600 for it with FSH and belts done, milage was 77k though. Looks a nice car also :)
  27. dmallett

    coilover options?

    WhiteLine ARB?

Makes a massive difference imo, and well worth the money! Not 100% sure how they work, but i do know it really tightens the rear end up and i can corner alot faster :)
