Whiteline ARB went on today :) handles even better than before, it actualy feels like a completely different car to drive than it did two weeks ago. Absolutely love this thing at the moment.
Also lowered it 10mm all round, think ill leave it there tbh.
Whiteline fitted.
Wires hidden and the...
Thats ridiculous. How about buy one, take it to a local engineerring/welding company get them to make an exact replica for passenger side? Work out abit cheaper i guess :)
You wont get hold of any SPAX second hand yet, unless someone really hates them.
Theres plenty of decent coilovers out there, but there is even more rubbish ones.
To get the seats out just get a deep socket and extension bar. There is holes in the heat shield to allow access to the bolts. One is particualy a pain, just spray some WD40 on them before you try to take them off.
Custom is the best bet tbh.
I have been told some people suffer vibrations when only changing the dog bone, as it passes the vibration along upto the engine.
This could be bullshit though,
Front will be ok on mine, as the spax have camber adjustment :)
As for the rear i might just go 5mm and play it safe. Its now that low atm, it will be lower tomorrow if its decent weather.
You've got your work cut out for tomorrow :p
Im gona leave it as a proper ph1 (minus wheels) ive decided :)
In other news, hit a massive rabbit thing, its left its fur all over my bumper, cracked it slightly and its now hanging down at the front :( on the plus side i now have an adjustable whiteline ARB so ill get that on tomorrow with...
Standard seats weigh about 25kg, the recaros are under 10kg with sidemounts, that's a fair bit really.
I did get the wheel off you, im not to keen on the wheel now, gona swap it for an omp trecento soon, as my mates offered to buy this :)
Ohh picking up whiteline rear ARB tonight :) solid...
Cheers :) old coilovers are long gone!
With the seats you can barely notice them from outside, because theyre so low, black and have black harnesses.
Bucket seats made a massive difference :)
On my ph1 the airbag connector split into two, joined one wire one side, one the other.
If that makes sense?
Used some little connectors, then taped over them separate.
As said the power gains overall isnt much different, and im aware the RS2's power is more usable.
But with cams if you get bored and want to progress down the N/a tuning route into itb's you can. With the RS2 it has been proved it doesnt work well with aftermarket cams.
There is several...
