jim, ive used this whole method several times before and honestly ive never had any issues with over a years worth of use.
its only for the very thin layer to smooth of kerbing, for the deeper stuff i use AC
i didnt want to go as far as middos as his kept cracking, i was also having the rescess removed but the body show fooked it up,
the look i was going for was like on 306s and stuff.
well i do the exact same miles everyweek,
tesco 99 it lasts 1 week 4 days
tesco 95 it lasts 1 week 2 days
everysingle time i try it 95 always goes quicker BUT its less lumpy on idle
well tbh the finish that is going on these wheels you wont notice if they are smooth or not underneith anyway hehe, im just going a bit mad with them :P
seriously its fine ive done so many sets this way and all of them have been spot on, i wont be changing my methods, this thread is just to show how i go about it
just normal semi cource stuff think its about 400 atm as its just to get it down to the metal before i start correcting the imperfections on the rims and smoothing them
its ok thanks, ive done 5 sets now i just thought it would be interesting to post it all up.ill have a gander at yours no doubt there are places youve done stuff differently
