Looking at the mileage history of this one,it did just 2k miles in one year around 2015,and only 4K last year! So it hasnt really covered many miles in the last few years, the guy i bought it off was the founder of one of the Megane forums, and he had it at the 'ring earlier this year.
Some more pics....9 previous owners is a strange one! Averages 1 owner a year,i dont get it as these kind of cars attract the more 'enthusiasts',people who know a bit more about cars and not someone who just goes out and gets a Fiesta ST or Corsa VXR. Maybe they just couldnt afford to run it?
I recently got this beast, straight swapping it in PX for my LY 200 - id heard that the megs are a bit more comfortable to drive in everyday situations, and with the flatspot/cold start issues i was having with the 200,i jumped at the chance of a swap with this.
Seems like a very good...
There was no room for me in the CS/RS Megane area, but i didnt turn up til half 1! Managed to find a spot near the centre...talked to a guy with dreads in the other Megane area, not sure who it was.
Yeah i have thought that most people must think like this, and theyre not into cars in the slightest. Something i cant understand...if anything its handy to have a bit of power if you need to overtake...i suppose this is another thread topic - but in my mind these are just 'boring' people who...
Can anyone understand why a man would want to drive a slow 1.2 hatchback or any other slow boring car? Ive never got my head round it. Balls to saving money, you only live once!
Are talking about looks or to drive? Cos if i saw a Robin on the road now id take notice as their so rare. To me 'boring' means you dont even notice them.
You can get them cheaper than that - my Renault Specialist did my 182 (twice) for around £450. An RS200 is even cheaper to do,under £400.
People probably just go to a Renault dealership, see the £1000+ quote and dont bother.
I quite enjoyed the original, picked it up cheap early this year - i like the realism of it and it was actually quite calm and chilled out to play after work hehe. The graphics were bare bones though and there was frame rate issues. I like the online aspect of it,where you can play ghost players...
The seats werent my issue with the 200,it was the rough feel to the engine on a cold start with no power and the terrible flatspot issue i had everyday. I wouldve had to spend £300 on the EFI map to at least make it better - maybe i got a duff 200,who knows. But going straight to an R26,the...
I thought the opposite - the recaros are so much more comfortable than the 200 seats and its a very civilised car on the motorway, can cruise effortlessly, with less high revving noise aswell. The ride isnt as firm as a lowered 182 either imo.
Im going to say this all the time on here now but if you had £5-6 to spend id definatly go looking for a decent R26 - its a much better car than the 197/200 imo.
Yeah he got slightly more value as you could probably sell the 200 for over 7k...but as you say its the hassle of selling and its rare that good LY R26s come up for sale. He knows his cars as he set up one of the Megane forums.
Well, just picked up R26 no. 059 last night  Swapped it for my LY 200.
65K miles,RS tuning remap (262 BHP),backbox chop,atmos dump valve,xenons,keyless.
These conferences are so cringe-worthy with all the guys cheering and hollering at the processor speed announcements haha.....It makes me laugh how many times they said 'the worlds most powerful games console' on the x box one x conference......well of course it is?! (for now)
A mint 182 - something im thinking about aswell for the future with a similar kind of budget. But,having a quick look online there arnt many for sale atm!
Doesnt that tell you that the 200 was more made for the track than a daily - the short 6th gear where it only drops 300rpm from 5th - surely they couldve made that a lot longer! Also, the chassis feels more 'alive' than a 182 - if i have things in my 200 cabin, they move around a lot more (eg a...
