New KTEC induction kit for 172

K&N get a lot of stick for no reason, they just have a large number of universal products that get put onto to absoloute heaps. The Typhoons are normally cheaper than this though and are probably made of better materials too tbh

Really tidy! No fussing. lol @ trying to say it's had a respray. All silver cars look like that, plastics never match 100%

too late I just hulked out. Or maybe I was joking when I suggested you buy him a new head? Just an afterthought

New KTEC induction kit for 172

Personally I wouldn't buy either. Upgraded panel filter - job done. Or do it properly. I'm not disputing it doesn't do what they're saying, I just think it's a tad expensive. But, you charge for what you know in some cases and if it works it works. It's the aesthetics of it which people aren't...

New KTEC induction kit for 172

It's the fact it's so simple that gets people. It is pretty expensive though, at least the Maxogen has some pretty carbon

I'm all for a giggle but that's not even funny. I think just for that you should pay for his new head.

Re: My Phase 1 ITB Daily Runner lol it would have to be located right at the front. I think I'll stick to what I've done already and just raise the bonnet slightly on the catches

Re: My Phase 1 ITB Daily Runner lol, I was doodling a few weeks ago trying to come up with a subtle scoop but the ph1 is a very certain shape and as soon as you put anything that isn't supposed to be on it, it looks extremely bad manz. Unless you want to give RS Fabrications a s**t load of...

Re: My Phase 1 ITB Daily Runner The bonnet is a lot lower on the front on a phase 1, so the bonnet pushes down on the filter, and really needs to be cut as I don't fancy wrecking the trumpets and my valves either. Smaller filter is a big no as I want it to be spot on, and you'll just strangle...

Re: My Phase 1 ITB Daily Runner Because if you cut the underside of the ali bonnet up it'll be like paper mate. I'm having to cut the skin mainly to fit everything under there nicely more than just for any kind of weight saving. If it were just a case of weight then I'd be fine fitting an ali one

Re: My Phase 1 ITB Daily Runner Car at BTM having the head checked over currently, possibility of a head gasket failure which would be just my luck, but I'm not too fussed as it's always been a bit of a tapper, and contemplating fitting some harsher cams anyway. In the meantime I've got a...

XCOM : Enemy Unknown & Enemy Within

Re: XCOM : Enemy Unknown So far it's just when there is debris or dust in the air, just makes the frame rate have a fit for a few moments. Can't say I've had any tearing issues but my refresh rate is 120hz so that might be something to do with it. Look forward to experiencing the hit accuracy...

XCOM : Enemy Unknown & Enemy Within

Re: XCOM : Enemy Unknown I had a quick go last night, but found myself re-doing the first tutorial as I wasn't aware the game had no auto save feature. Thanks. It's had fairly good reviews, above average anyway. I got to the mission with the fountain as above. There are a few performance...

    another old itb question

Can be done retaining the catch, but without measuring it'd restrict the size of the filter you'd be able to use. Function over form.
