Well thanks to Marcus cliogtt Ive just got a quote of £2350 from Brentacre, fully comp, unlimited mods, £550 excess. Great company, actually bothered about modified cars and very friendly and helpful, highly recomended, especially if youve got an engine conversion - 01792 650933
I thought confused is no good cos of mods? Liquidcool a 5GTT would be under 1.5k to insure I reckon. Its the conversion plus the power hike, not to mention the bodykit, interior, respray. I got a quote a couple of months back on a 10k supra twin turbo - £1080, gutted. The only reason I didnt get...
I wasnt expecting it to be cheap but 4.5k FFS, most people of my age could buy and insure a modded valver for that! Im going to try TPFT and putting mum/sister on policy tomorrow. If i cant get it insured under 3.5k I might have to keep the car off the road and insure something real cheap on a...
Got a major problem on my hands, Clio GTT is nearly finished so its insurance time again. Ive rang 3 companies, not a lot I know, but I was expecting the best quote from one of those three, and to be honest I dont expect any of the big isurers like Tesco, CIS etc to insure a clio GTT.
HIC...
I had a look into doing an HID conversion the only problem is the auto levelling, I didnt fancy paying £300 to be told to take remove them as they were illegal. The washer jets could easily be fitted, Ideally youd want see through glass too, but you could get away without it.
If you want...
I know the 348 and 355 are different but Clarkson said he always wished he hadnt got the 355 targa because of wind noise IIRC. I would only reallly consider a 355 or newer personally, in black with tints and a racing exhaust system :)
The speedo is KPH so its probably French (even more likely with that colour sheme) Maybe they have a slightly different variation on the dials on the continent.
Limit the milage a lot like a couple of thousand miles a year, and say your milage is like 5000 miles less than it really is, if you hvae a crash smash the f**k out of odometer :)
I got my Viper 2400d (mailto:2.4kw@2ohm">2.4kw@2ohm) for £330 on ebay ;) bargains to be had if you hold out for a while, but a sub for it will prove expensive
http://www.ami-incar.com/http://www.ami-incar.com/ Theres the website, I was thinking of the 950 as well not the 850 as being Thatcham approved. I got a quote of £549 including mobile fitting back in May off them.
Ill dig out a car alarm website for you later for you with prices and accessories on, a guy on here had a clifford fitted by the company and was pleased with it, prices were quite good. At the time, couple of months ago, I think best Thatcham approved alarm they did (G5) was the 850.
For 4 and 5, you should at least carry 1 set of disposable gloves in the car for any mechanical mishaps, so useful, especially when say youre on the way to an interview and the exhaust midsection falls off, in the rain. :@

I was just wondering as Id have an easier time finding a spare set of dials to mod, if they were shared across the range there should be more about. Ah well looks like i need ph2 valver dials then.
