I like to think i'm semi unbiased about vtecs and i had the same views as most people seem to have on here before i drove one. But now i have its all changed. Vtec comes around in no time and once it does and you stay in it they fly. Mine is a 2.2 though.

Anti lag is awesome. I've seen a evo on the roads running it but as said its illegal. lol You need a quality exhaust i can tell you that much!

I was always led to beleive they have no torque and technically from figures they dont. But trust me, vtecs shift and torque isnt really a problem.

When will orange have it?

Yeah mines a 2.2. Feels good on the mway too. Alot say the EK9 dies after 100.

I thought vtecs were supposed to feel torqueless too until i drove one. :)

Synchro's went last night...,Yep its happened.... Tried to get into third, little crunch....seems weird? Fourth, fine....few must have been me! Fifth, BIG Crunch! Maybe its not me... Third seems to be fine now but fifth is screwed above 60mph but fine below. Luckily the box has been changed...

Have to say i moved mine after reading this. Felt better on my back too. Pulls you straight into the seat rather than down into it...

Yeah i was looking at mods for the atr but tbh everything is looked at before it leaves the factory it seems. I was supprised in the difference in my lump compared to the H22 in the prelude. Many think its the same engine but its got Cams, pistons, ECU, port & polish, modified valve seats...

Yeah just about getting there. Vtec'ing mid corner, holding it and gunning out is fun too! Proper scrabble for grip...lol Yeah i'm not too sure about this torqueless malarky. I think it being a 2.2 might help but its much more torquey than a off boost turbo i know that! lol

Its just 1300kgs. Not bad for a big bus really. 3rd gear seems a good'un! lol I think the stats for them are pretty cack really. Mines a fair bit quicker than my mates 172. Easily matched a Focus ST last night and i was 4 up..

Just get an aftermarket alarm and immob...;) Just been reading up and apparently on track there is nothing between the atr and itr. :D On Tsukaba the atr was quicker but you can never tell with these tests.

I've read alot of people saying vtec controllers are the devils work too? lol Just had a quick read up about the atr's mani and its one of the things they redesigned to give the engine more power over the prelude. Yours looks much better though! :D Are you on the standard exhaust?

Yeah well i spose i could see the airfilter, leads and mani. lol Did the mani make much difference on the teg? Been reading up on them for the atr and it doesnt seem to make a massive diffenrence as theyre well designed to start with. You can even lose power at points in the rev range. Might...

I've only ever been in one other vtec and that was a civic vti. vtec just seemed to be noise rather than anyhting else..lol! I heard its similar in the civic type r's...:o Dan you want to get a atr as a family bus...;)

Does the vtec kick like the ATR's in them? Or is it tamed by this ivtec malarky?

Been doing a few things to her too. Cleaned the lights up which are now crystal clear. :) Needs to have a detail as i can see some swirls in the sun. Got a mate who loves to use the pc polisher though so all will be gone soon...:D I do love it though. Ever come across a 1*2? My mates sure...
