but i put 2.0 wishbones, driveshafts, hubs, disks, Calipers, ARB and struts on.
driveshaft was effectively pushing engine side to side.
fitted 2.0 subframe and it fixed it. :rasp:
well i got a complete front end off a ph1, put everything onto my 1.2 apart from the subframe itself. found the driveshafts were too long. fitted the "sport" subframe and it fixed the problem.
:S
hmmm i actually found an inch difference between wishbone bolt holes when i changed to running 172 brakes etc, with the 1.2 subframe still in the nearside drive shaft caused the gearbox to move as it was forced by the knuckles/joints on the driveshaft.
i hate to dissagree with you fred i really...
we are hopefully staging the start of the event again next year.
look forward to seeing the avenger :D
i may use the sunshine bus next year as it looked like good fun.
my 1600 is decent, plenty of power, but with the gearbox i have in the ratio's are close (1.4 16v gearbox) it sits a little bit high on motorway 4000 rpm at 80.
i used to have a 1.2 in same shell and its a fair step up, nice stepping stone to 2.0
its normal you jeb end, whole idea of a ball joint, think you will find if you tug on it it will strighten up ;)
so out of all of that it maybe needs a clean and a new tyre.
^^^ i wasnt aware you needed a heater, never seen it checked at our spot........
lol i wanna see if they are longer than the 1.2 ones before purchasing a full set of track rods and ends :dapprove:
its the 16" f1's and the ph2 touches.
knowing the car it made me smile when you mentioned "quality", it has its little annoying niggles, i went for a day trip in it and it broke down
