Bonnet is held on with 4 bolts at the back..
Bumper, remove the arch liners, there will be 2 10mm bolts, (easy to see) Undo those, Under the car there are another 3 10mm bolts holding an undertray kinda thing, take those out, you might have to tug the bumper where it joints the wings to release...
IIRC You fit the Megane pistons into the 1*2 Bottom end so you can still use the 1*2 box and then fit the meggy head with turbo etc.. I cant actually remember, Il try dig the thread out...
If the wheels is moving backward and forward there may be damage to the TCA, or one of the bolts holding the Ball joint to the arm has snapped, thats what mine did when I hit a Kerb in my old 1.2
I love how it drives, the fact it puts a smile on my face every time I drive it, the noise, the fact its so cheap to run..
But alas I want rid of it as I want an R26 :D
Whats the best way to go about removing the gearbox from a 172?
Im thinking remove the Subframe for most access?
I have one to do on Thursday and never done one before so unsure of the best method...

Exactly this, fair enough the guy tries to buy things from people for alot lower than asking price but like anyone he is just trying to make cash..
As its been said the average person not knowing about CS or the CS classifieds would probably buy it..
Fair point dave.... I can get an engine cheap but im not sure if its worth it for the time id be keeping it etc... plus there is no fun in an engine swap like there is stripping it down :rasp:
