so easy to do, sand down, tape off, spray, sand, spray, lacquer (spraying and lacquering as many times as you can id say) and voila!

But as long as you can get the underneath bolt off it's just one bolt off, drain,bolt back in, fill up using a funnel etc and job done?

nope, to be honest im debating wether or not to put the original wheels back on it. got pe2 tyres on these cup wheels so once these run down i might swap them over.
touch would ive got nothing else to go wrong for a while now anyway.

i live on the wirral mate and went to birchdown, great service and great fellas, they even give you their van for the day! (if the van part helps you out at all with work)
Jonny1*2 i was under the same impression as you, the UCH im using is off a 2002 model with no cruise control and once fitted to mine (2003) ive lost this function. just need a 'clip' machine to activate this part of the uch i think
Maupineda - how did you manage to "activate" your cc then? I've just swapped over my uch from a 2002 model (mines 03) and now my cc or ESP switches don't seem to work and I assumed this was because of the uch not having it programmer in with the model it came off not having it.

182 wheels were on the car when I bought it a month or so ago. Now I don't know wether to return to original 5spoke wheels or stick with the 182s which have Michelin pe2 tyres on em, with loads and loads of tread left.

Just got "start normally" or "start recovery"
When I choose the recovery option it just loads up a blank blue screen and stays like that. Think I I'll have to buy the discs unfortunately
After reading posts about gearboxes being vulnerable, it's got me thinking.
Will changing the gearbox oil help with it's lifespan?
Is it a costly job for a garage to do?
