Zweimal = Twice or two of if you're German isn't great btw!
Weather was decent today so got a couple of pics of the Z4M Coupe while it was still clean after its big detail last week and also a couple of the wife's new car that we picked up this morning as well. Its an Estoril Blue 118dM-Sport...
Its been a while but I've got the shell back from paint, looks pretty good, just need to pick my panels etc up and start building it back up. No metal panels to go back on now, boot, bonnet and doors are all fibreglass so should bring the weigh down a bit.
Managed to get the engine built up...
tscotty81, looks great, hopefully mine will look very similar to that when its back from the bodyshop, currently there getting painted Renault Glacier White as we speak.
Russ
Might give Fred a call see if he has any, see if he has any cup racer brake ducts left while I'm on.
Not sure on from the states, know of a company in Poland that keeps them but there should be plenty of people in the uk that keep them too without resorting to ktec.
Russ
As title really looking for a stockist of arp rod bolts for my 182 motor. Preferably someone that keeps them in stock and does decent rates for cliosport members.
Russ
Think it might be overkill with 25mm in mate but will wait for the pics. Might be interested in your 15mm's fir the front of mine depending what you're doing with them.
Russ
I've had a white s1 previously aswell just a 1.3 though and a couple of s2's. s2's have a thicker rear arb so are a bit stiffer on the back, I've got a one in mine now aswell. Turns in really fast but can be nervous in the damp but that's how I like it setup.
Russ
Yeah that's right mate, series 2's are less special IMO, just the same to look at as a gti with a vtr motor basically. S1 has a lot of unique parts and was built to homologate the rally cars.
Russ
The rallye is mine, there's a thread in the general and motorsport media about it. Standard engine is a 1.3 8v with 100bhp mine is a 1.6 16v jp4/j4 hybrid motor with approx 140bhp and short ratio box good for 120mph on the limiter in 5th. Very evenly matched with piers' 182 and yes we did have...
Not updated for a while, bought a couple of bits for it, notably some more 2118 speedlines with R888's, i now have a set of both white and anthacite.
Also managed to bag a set of used Jenvey Throttle bodies that have only done dyno time, came complete with everything, filter, TPS, lingage...
Looking good mate, front splitter totally transforms the car, they look lost without one, cant argue with a skoda one for the money seen as they're so easily knocked off, as you already know ;)
BTW 106 is getting mot'd this week so i'm up for a run out next weekend if the weather is decent.
Russ
Tbh I'm not sure why people get so touched by this kind of thing, if he lowers his car and ruins the handling so what, I'll still sleep well at night. Something that nobody's mention is that 95% of these types of cars aren't driven properly anyway, they never see a country road or race track so...
The best pic i have of the white is this one
Not the best but gives you an idea.
2 better pics of the anthacite inside
If i was building from scratch i'd go for grey, looks fresher for longer, white gets grubby quickly on a race/track car.
Russ
No problem mate, When I'm on the laptop ill put some pics up of this one even though its a little tatty at the moment and some of my old cup car which was metallic grey inside and out (ex tcr) will give you a decent idea.
Russ
Hopefully will start to resemble a car shortly. Been trial fitting my fibreglass bonnet and boot this weekend, just waiting on my aerocatches arriving, all 3 sets! Next job is to get all the running gear bolted back on.
Russ
Thanks bigash, looked on toast frenzy's project thread and that's how he's done it. Just finishing mine now but its all drilled and mounted including the spoiler and boot handle. Just waiting on my aerocatches for the bottom now.
Russ
Thanks guys, fixing through the spoiler is something I wanted to avoid, aerocatches as per the first picture is a given.
Tony thanks mate will pm them, I've text Hal for advice but no response.
Russ
People that have a fibreglass on a tailgate on a 172/182 how have they fitted it? I have one of Hals off here and I expected it to come with the original top hinge mounts in place and I would just use aerocatches on the bottom but there is nothing on the top. Have others modified the top so its...
