    Given that the DC2 is one of the best FWD chassis's about i can't see your reasoning for change. Whilst i'd comfortable say the 172 is a very capable track car, the DC2 of similar spec would kill it... Keep it.

    ;) ;) Why would you want stronger rods tho? Peak power is normally a good bit below peak rpm?! I can understadn with ITB's runnin over the 250mark or Forsed induction but not with 200ish...
