If you're planning on 3 to 4 years I would punt it on personally. If you did the belts now they would be close to being needed again when you started driving it! I'd sell it and save the money - you could buy a nice mk3 in 4 years.

The wilwoods were immense on the one I drove and they fit under 15's

16's have always looked to big for a mk1 though. I'd be selling the brakes off an fitting some that will fit under 15's -

Depends on what sentimental means to you £££ wise. If it genuinely means the world to you then ignore this thread buy new everything, throw it at a bodyshop with your credit card and pin number. If sentimental means less £££ than you thought it did then simply write it off and move on.

Ahh should have mentioned that - mind you I've only checked in my sizes! The 2's were/are fine - no complaints apart from they seem to fall off a cliff at a certain tread level!

Hopefully the chap is happy to pay that.
