I agree with Mike and Ben. I bought my Clio 6 months ago, although its a K plate its only done 46k. It used to be an Inland Revenue car so its got a complete FSH.
The engine hasnt caused me any problems, apart from a consistent rattle from the engine that isnt the tappets (had them adjusted...

I heard that there was a sequel in the pipe line as well, should be out late next year. Lets hope they just keep it to fast cars and good looking women without getting too caught up in an actual plot!!!
ps JamesG & Jilly have you been living under a rock for the last year?????? You must buy...

1. The satisfaction of spending hours cleaning and polishing your car and then standing back from it to admire your work.
2. Newly resurfaced roads (makes you realise how bad all the others are!)

Your probably better off going TPFT for the first year. You can get a good condition, well looked after version for between £2000-£2500, and the insurance would be more like £1300. Theyre good first cars, especially when you consider the extras like tilt adjustable seats, foglamps, electric...
Itll tell you on the old speaker which wire is +ve or -ve. Is it a phase 1 RT? If it is then youll find that the wires are completely different colours for all the speakers.
Also, are you fitting the tweeters in those speaker pods in the dash, or are you cutting the door card to mount them...
As far as I know, its just the same sort of fitting as a normal side repeater although Im not 100%. I think you have to use a screwdriver to get the badge itself off so be careful!!!

My mate has got two Vibe 15in subs in a box and a f***in great big Vibe amp to provide the juice, and I can safey say that that thing could probably kill you if it was turned up load enough.
I would say only go for two 15s if your either mentally unstable or intent on blowing the back window...
Ive just got a JL Audio W0 (£120 plus box). Ive listened to that as well as the Type R and Id say that the JL Audio just edges it, plus its cheaper than the Alpine.
Steveo - I agree that the Kicker is a serious sub but at £300 is about twice the price of what he was originally looking at...
Recently my car seems to losing quite a bit of power, this is especially noticeable when accelerating in second and third. Theres no momentary drop in power its just that the whole car seems to be running slower. I was thinking about running some 10k boost through it cos I was speaking to some...
Ive just had a look at a Bass Junkies Advert in one of my mags and they do the JL Audio W0 12" sub for £120 with a box which seems a bit of a bargain. They also do the Alpine Type R 12" sub and box for £150. I dont know whether the Alpine is any better so if any one else has any suggestions that...
Ive got a second hand Pioneer amp (GM-X722) that Id like to use to run a sub until I can afford to get a bigger amp and do everything properly. Anyway Ive got roughly £130 to spend so I was after some recomendations.
I think the RMS for the bridged channel is 320W so its got a bit of power to...
What size wheels are you actually looking at getting?
Ive not seen the Mille Miglia wheels you are on about. Personally I think that the anthracite finish would look quite cool against the black bodywork.
Rick
Which parts of the bumper have you actually meshed and can you get some pics up of the bumper now that its been done so that I can have a look.
