Not sure if you've just pushed the saturation up on them but they look super blue. You have to get one of those printed.

Those type of lenses tend to be average at best, especially the cheaper ones.
It's sort of a 'cover all bases, does nothing that well' type of lens.
I'd look at something like the Sigma 50-150mm f2.8 lens. Gives a bit of range and it's brilliant.
It doesn't look much to fix yourself, but when you add parts and labour/paint, it all adds up very quickly.
It's just a standard 172. Let them pay you out. Then buy another one. Or buy something else.
Buying it back, fixing it etc. It's just a load of hassle really and there's barely any...
The only reason not to have a 200 (From that choice) is that you can't afford it/don't want to spend that money.
It's the best one. The people who say that the 182 is best or the 197 is best, is because they have that car and don't want to spend more on a better one.
Comparing them side by side I don't think gives a true appeal of how great it is. You don't notice that much of a difference.
Use the new one for a week. Then pick up the old one. It looks awful.
