Polishing with crap products like Colour Magic etc will induce horrible swirls, as will polishing with decent polished but not working them properly.

I am a big fan of AG products but the UDS is crap, not a great finish and hard to use. For a stand alone product it is not bad durability wise though. As others have said it won't work with the EGP.

Would never be 100% sure that it wont etch into the metal making it look worse, hence using the Engine and Machine Cleaner as it is non acid based. Not had any that the above, metal polish and elbow grease wont sort. Good call on the wire wool makes short work of things, been using it on...

AG Engine and Machine Cleaner to break down the build up followed with some metal polish.

Just means you need to re-wax or seal the paintwork after use though as it strips of any protection on the paint at the same time.

Lay a warm damp microfiber on them for a few mins to soften them up, normal wash mitt and shampoo should then do the trick. On well waxed/sealed paintwork I have never needed anything else.

Know what you mean - I never used mine on the Clio and would not on GTi either.

If you have had something sprayed I would ask the person that painted it how long until you can wax/seal it. It will have already been polished anyway.

PM Paul ... The rusty boy will tell you how to go about repainting the whole susytem. Autoglym Metal Polish or Autosol will be fine if your not a a bit odd ....

lol - the car was baked in the factory and will have been polished in the factory, carry on as you where. Paint has always been fine to polish from fresh, just not wax or seal in some cases
