    Roadkill

Been looking forward to it all week. I know i'm late to the party but i've recently got into Mighty Car Mods, i'm halfway though season 2, although the Aussie car scene seems to be 20 years behind the rest of the world, it's all massive body kits, boot installs and chrome wheels, it's like...

Those are the exact same lights. Btw this thread is 4 years old, ;) but at least you're using the search function which most new people don't do.

    S1 Rallye

Sounds great! Although next time get your mate to film it from the other side of the fence, rather than through a gap in it.

    Badge removal from tailgate

I just used Auto Glym tar remover when I removed my Renault Sport badge, I pulled the top of the badge towards me and poured a load down the back until it came off, then I used some more to wipe the crap off the back and job done. No heat or hairdryer needed at all.

    What's this I've found?

I'd say it's the sticker that was used to sign off on the boot floor being pressed and welded in, although it does say Visa on the back, so maybe it's the receipt for a new boot floor after an accident? Ten again it could be a random bit of paper completely unrelated to the car.

    What's this I've found?

    Engines dead?

The 1.2 is compatible with a 1.8, as is the 3.0, just make sure you forged the water pump and reinforce the grumble joints.

    Engines dead?

That's assuming it's an F4R, we still have no clue what kind of car it is.

    Engines dead?

You haven't mentioned what car it is? Because 172/182's generally don't blow head gaskets.

    Engines dead?

No you're only changing like for like, same as any other part that breaks or wears out.

    Engines dead?

Rapid contraction of hot metal causes stress fractures, if not massive cracks, best thing to do is just leave the bonnet up and let it cool down on it''s own. You may be lucky and got away with it, but i'll be very surprised.

    Engines dead?

Well that'll be scrap then. That's the absolute worst thing you can do to a hot engine.
  22. DaveDreads

    Engines dead?

So he put cold water in the coolant bottle? Did he throw any over the engine or not?
  23. DaveDreads

    Engines dead?

Depends which is cheaper tbh, if it wasn't broke before throwing cold water on it will have finished it off. So it's been nicked?
  24. DaveDreads

    Engines dead?

LOL, they also cracked their block.

    Engines dead?

He threw cold water on a hot engine!? I know someone that cracked their bloke doing that to an over heating engine.

    Clio parts bin

Everything i've removed from my car was either for upgrading mods, or removing the rear interior to dog proof the back, a happy coincidence is it's saves a fair bit of weight. The only extra bit i've got is a spare starter motor.
