It could be down to the resolution of the laptop output. If it does not match the screens resolution, you dont get a picture.
Try connecting everything up, turn on the TV, then turn on the laptop. It should automatically adjust the picture size to that of the TV.
I had that a few weeks back and it is still working perfectly. I have used the same verion (legit) on two PCs. One didn't like it. If you leave the updates set on automatic the PC still works and downloads updates too.

Some kid throwing a snowball at a car in Rotterdam got shot and killed a few years back as a result! Bit harsh I suppose, I guess he picked the wrong car! They never caught the guy either IIRC.
Zip the folder and lock it with a password using winzip/ winrar. You then have to delete the original and empty the waste bin... quite a bit of hassle.
I just hide sub folders in the windows directory or in an obscure program folder then change the icon to a program one instead of a folder...
Office 2003 has the option to delete the cropped area from the "compress pictures" button on the picture toolbar. It can do all pictures in the document in one go.
I cannot say whether it was in the previous versions. Just open a batch job in PS and do all pictures in one go if not.

I just had this problem an hour ago!
On the second screen (select menu) click on "more". In the box below the option is "Start playback with" then the choice is between menu or the film title. Just choose the film and the menu does not pop up.
Nero 6 has it on the first screen...
