They're fairly new. Only a month or two since they added the thunderbolt port. Don't bother with extra ram. That's cheaper to get yourself if you ever decide you need it. Backups, you can get a 1TB passport HD for about 80. So just get one of those. Get it. Best thing Apple make.

Nope. It's App Store download only. Whether you'll be able to burn it to a disc/stick I'm not sure yet.

You can use that disc for the 17". No problemo. With SL it just gave you the option to upgrade. So you had to wipe the drive and start fresh. Not sure how it will work as it's coming from the App Store. Don't see any reason why you can't start from scratch manually. A lot of people will want to...
