I have had the K5 X series for over ten years & it has seen some work.
Just got a new one for £198 to replace when it finally packs up!
Testing for the race of remembrance next weekend.
The lap times were so consistent over 30 min periods.
Some very expensive metal on track, the gull wing merc sounded like a spitfire on flyby!
Cars in car park were not to shabby either :D
Wet trackdays I use normal road tyre pressure.
The normal racing lines become slower due to low grip & worn surface.
Love a wet day, nothing better than chasing down & passing cars that would leave you for dead if dry.
One trackday at Cadwell back in 2006 at least three got written off during the day, bit of a dent to the 501.
I had 187 for three & half years, did 17K, about 20 trackdays.
Still got the original Evo mags etc from when I decided to go for one.
Somewhere there is a photo of all the Trophy's at...
No idea, plenty quick enough out the box.
The combo of the sticky tyres, big brakes & diff are what I like.
What problem you got with the brakes?
Mine are awesome never give up, going to get the fluid swapped at service time ;)

The cars in question were mk4 mx5 race cars driven by drivers from the Max 5 championship, not some trackday noobs.
They spent most of the day on the Dunlops which were brand new in the morning.

I will throw a new make of tyre you have heard of into the hat, this is aimed more at the trackday heros.
MRF
Yes that is correct MRF.
If you think RSRs, NS2Rs, AD08r or Direzza's are good you may have to rethink your definition of good.
Been at Donongton today with Rodders testing his mk4 race...
I had a silver mx5 for 5 years, I replaced it with a metallic black one.
That was sold following year, would never have a black car again.
Just shows too many marks even with good cleaning technique.
The bumper photo looks almost like paint work repair?
Total fleet services, but this was back in March.
Back then most were £249+ & dealers were £365 a month.
If you see a dirt cheap deal jump on it as some are only available for limited time.
Yes, as above for the money nothing comes close.
Like the fact they are rare & not shouty.
Getting a Pheastant dent removed tomorrow, apart from that it has been excellent.
I like the stealth look, my PS is just the same, looks like a standard car with big wheels.
The look on folks faces when it gets let off the lead is funny though ;)
You have to prepared to get cut off for the best deals.
I had a mega deal, MSE, for £50 previous year with everything thrown in.
That ran out & suddenly £120!!!!!
Cancelled & waited & waited within the last week of being cut off they came down to £64.
HD everything, unlimited fibre with calls...
