Hi, looking to change my coolant on my 1.2 16V, unsure how to go about it, any help would be great! :)
The reason for the change is the car is now 10 and it looks like the coolant is the same age...., brown manky stuff! No idea what it even is.
Got myself some Renault Type D coolant and new...
So today i gave my car a clean, nothing fancy at all.

So i went to the scrappy and picked up a new fuse box lid, cover for headlight (rubber bit), air filter housing, air filter hose and drivers...
So today i sat about cleaning my car, nothing fancy. Just hated the sight of all the filth.
So i replaced my drivers rubber door seal

And now some disgusting before pictures:
And now, cleaning time!!
In the boot, hot soapy water and a hoover!
And now all...
That is one of the best looking clios i have ever seen! Love that colour too mate!
Where in Northern Ireland are you from too?
Im out the Ballymena direction here.
Go for it, just keep pushing it down and wiggling it, also make sure the rubber from around the door is out and not tucked behind it, I forgot that 1st time :o
Have you pushed them down far enough, like into the dash? Then if it looks like its at the right height (you can tell by the line across the headliner from where they used to sit and by looking in) then just hit it from the bottom up. Well thats what i done.
It just blends right in. Id expect it to stick out a bit but it doesnt.
If you have the sport interior (which i dont :( ) Then i think it would look even better IMO.
So its been a while since i updated anything, havent really got anything added to the car.
Done recently
- Respyared my diamonds in 'Rover stone grey' Basically anthracite.
- Got a smaller 'air bag' decal for the dash strip.
- Alcantara covered handbrake cover and A pillars.
- replaced...
These are just so much better and appealing than the original plastic ones!
Bought them off Austin-182 on here, definitely worth grabbing a set!
Excuse the messy car :o
So i finally got it going. I just made sure all the connections were tight, cleaned everything up and hit the starter motor gently. Tried the key and it worked.
