the clio has pins, i think on the ph2, the "renault" badge is just sticky, if you prise it off gently you shall be able to see if it has pins in or not

i thought as the 172 bumper is deeper then the ph1 you also need the 172 archliners (standerd ph2 ones) as the ph1 are smaller archliners?
