^seriously, crash or no crash, with 4 grand plus money from the sale of the 1.2 you will have plenty for a quick hatch and insurance. Seems pointless to sell the Gti when you still have the money for it and want to plug it into a 1.2. Look at a Mk1 172, 106 gti, vts etc for around 3.5-4k and...
^ Cheap and cherful eh Maz!? It's the way forward. Nice drop and stiffen up the body roll.
Think they were bout £90ish when I looked in motorworld though.
Did do a dark blue Mk1 172...Oddesy blue, similar to monaco.
Think this may be the one that had a spotted the other week when it was on autotrader or something?
Asda don't accept modifications as far as I'm aware so you cant make any changes to your car.
If you change to a company that does accept modifications, the extra premium is totally random, so you would have to ring up and they would calculate it based on your details.
^Aye, but neither will be any good for me then though will they? lol. I want more of a drop than Pro's and Apex are specific for 2.0ltr and non 2.0ltr, unlike the Eibach which are suitable for all bar 1.2 afaik.

lol, I just searched ebay for bout 5 mins then trying all different combinations! Apparently it can be made to fit by cutting little /\ into the non visable bit, in order to bend it more, then just chop bits that hang over at the end.

Cheapest I've found them up to now, if I dont find them cheaper anywhere else this week I will be ordering from there.
To be honest it should all be fine, but i covered in tin foil (just to be on safe side), everything electrical (the connectors), alternator, fuse box, aux belt, spark plugs etc. just use common sense, try not to spray too much directly at anything.
^Whooops! Reeeeeaaally sorry, I was thinking Friday when I wrote it but for some reason Monday has come out of the keyboard! lol :o
Really good serivce and it was super fast next day delivery, can't edit my first post now either...making you look bad now (Sorry!)

I got a Washmitt, Extreem body wash&wax, Clay bar, Synthetic Quick detailer and microfibre waffle weave drying towel. I'll be using that little lot along with AG SRP, AG EGP, P21s wax, Meguiars endurance tyre gel.
Just relised I forgot to order the trim...
Just to say many thanks to David. Top bloke, great service and did me a good deal on some good products, can't wait to try them out later this week. I ordered and paid in the early hours of Monday morning and the stuff arrived well packaged on Saturday morning. Fully recommended.
:)
Lovely car, hope you realise how lucky you are at 18 to have that! Wouldn't like to pay your insurance, bet it's over 3 grand (that's if you are insured properly). Congrats mate and just appreciate it, don't go pushing it too far we get enough totaled clio threads as it is!
