Alex M mine has done 76k did it stop come summer time? I dont think i could put up with it all year round! this will be the first winter ive had with the car and its only started d0oing it recently since its been really cold. I had the new water pump fitted a couple of months ago and its done...

The garage told me the shocks are fine all engine mounts are fine, would i need to replace the whole mount or could i just get it taken off and refitted? is it a difficult job? what could i expect to pay for this job? would you say a toyota mechanic would have the knowledge to do this?

isnt it just one belt does everything on the 16v water pump power sterring pump etc maybe it is just the cold it just sounds horrible goes within a few moments though......

If it is a seazed caliper get it sorted asap this happened to me in an older car the calaper wouldnt release, i was giong down the motorway then i smelt this horrible burning smell pulled over looked at the front disc and is was glowing red!!!!!!!!!

Iknow the k&ns melt if they get to hot! would they be one of the better ones if they didnt melt coz soon i will be changing the thermo and fan switch for the cooler option................

I take it i would need both the cooling fan switch and the thermo? are these easy to fit for a novice or should i leave it to the pros?

Was wondering about one, i want the fan to kick in a bit earlier at the mo its 3/4 before it comes on, where could i get one from? has anyone else had one fitted? And what sort of price could i expect to pay? Rob.

Willy16v yeah thats what mine does anyway from cold thats not the problem though its when its warmed up and im sitting on idle and the revs will be on 900 then will rise to 1200 then back down again it just keeps moving up and down.................
