^ Worth bearing in mind the poor mans interior in the cup and the probable lack of air con and definately no ABS. IMO I'd go for a Mk1 172 and have good budget left for diff. wheels, suspension and anything else you may fancy. Or find a Mk2 172 on turinis or something.
Yeah I've used that. I want to do my front and rear bumpers aswel. Think I'll get them done professionally though as it would take a few days with the bumpers off the car and too tricky for me with the plastic bits being attached to the rest of the bumper. I'm gonna do my spoiler myself though...
lol, S is by far the best!
Mitch mine has been sounding better and better lately. I'll try and get a vid with sound for you tomorrow, so you can see if it's anything like what your on about.
It's NV432 mate. Doing mine at the minute, I had a practice on some handles and to be honest I got a good finish and that but the colour match isn't the greatest. I would imagine mainly because my cars paint will have faded. Good luck, probably gonna do my handles, door bumpstrips and bootlock...
Does seem a bit expensive Mitch, I got a quote, 18, 1yrs NCD, same car, IK, lowered 40mm, tints, exhaust/manifold, colour code, diff. alloys. Just over £1400 from elephant, I would of thought it would be a decent amount cheaper for you, being a year older (and possibly a year more NCD, I don't...
Got A-levels mate, plus my car is no where near the stage I would want it at. :( Still need to go down on apex 40mm, induction kit of some-mother-f**king-way-shape-or-form!, colour coding has begun but will need to get front and rear bumpers done, and with this recent hot weather I'm definately...
That is the question!
I have basecoat on. Now to my previous knowledge I should not be wet sanding until clear coat is on? I have read conflicting views on here. Some people say wet sand after bascoat then laquer, some say dont even think about wet sanding basecoat, get the laquer on and then...
Over the top mate, Loosen the nuts with the car fully lowered on the ground. The normal wheel brace supllied with the car is fairly cack though so get something decent. Mine were really tight aswel, I stamped on the wrench at first to loosen them.
Not looking good for those mate. I believe the ET on Mk2's is 45 and IIRC anything between 32-48 is considered OK to use. Couldn't say for definate off the top of my head.
Yeah that is what I was thinking, thanks. I would of thought an 80mm elbow would be better, as so not to reduce the inlet further? However there seems to be a lack of reducing elbows from 80mm> lol.
I'll check measurments but if yours is a 1.4s aswel then I'm sure it will be the same.
Ah well...
Yeah thanks, I think I get that bit now! lol
What size ID elbow would I need to fit to inlet? I fear you are gonna have to explain this in the simplest for possible!! i.e what size reducing elbow from what mm to what mm. Sorry for all these questions, when I know that, I know I just have to...
Yes, quite possibly something like that if I'd be able to get something decent to fit. I've jsut been looking at elbows, not found one yet, they're all to wide of an angle. If I get something like that I'd need to make sure it fits under the bonet obviously! That one looks good.
I know it comes apart from the airbox, if you take the top half of the airbox off it comes out then, but it's the green plastic scoop type thing, that holds the CAF into the airbox that I can't seperate from the CAF. As I'd want to attach any new CAF to this to avoid any unecessary hot air...
lol, I'm just thinking if I could sort a decent relocation out (say coming to the right hand size of the engine it may increase the number of induction kits available. Don't suppose you know the inlet diameter? I'm thinking that seems to be along the right lines if the inlet diameter is the same...
Digging up an old one here! Does anyone know the diameter of the intake on the 1.4 sport?
Has anyone had any luck with relocation pipes, custom made or any other Induction Kits other than K&N?
John, any pics of your piperx?
By the way, green do a panel/replacement standard filter part No...
