Put your hand under the drivers and passenger seat move the wires around a bit and itll probably go off!

195/40R17 are definately better than 205s I had 205s on for a week but changed them for the 195s which were much much better (the place I bought them from did this for me at no extra cost) The 195s shouldnt be all that much more expensive just not that many people make them! 215/35R17 would...

If your at all worried about running costs then Clio if not then CTR! The Clio is considerably more economical...I would still rather have the CTR (I have owned both)

Dont use Jif!! Its too abrasive and will scratch the surface od the wheels and look awfull. Ive learned from experience.

I went from a 172 (MK2) -> CTR -> 172 (MK1) :D CTR is a thirsty beast compared to any 172/182

Whys that then? The 172 did 0-100 in that time in Autocar against the CTR!

How many Mk1s do you see? Ive only seen mine, there are 2 cups at my gym and 2 CTRs and 2 Focus RSs for that matter! MK1s rule! ;) But MK2s did when I had one of those!

That fact that there is less of them make no difference. The MK1 is the rarest of them all and it makes squat difference to the price! People want the newest tool and at the moment thats the 182.

Well in that case Id keep the car until you can get full comp insurance!! Its simply not worth the risk.

Why cant you get insured on a CTR? Same insurance group...mine was exactly the same to insure as my current 172, £442 to be exact.

I dont think there is an awful lot in it price wise between a 205/45/R16 and a 205/40R17 so Im not sure I agree with you. I think its more a case of it costs more if you drive like a moron not what size wheels you have!
