Didnt he build a makeshift paint booth with polythene as walls etc if thats the one your on about?
Im guessing that the £60 would be a very cheap 'cost price' for paint and top coat then no labour charges and didnt have to pay for any thing like spray gun etc so might make sense.
Thats probably cheaper than the cost of paint alone, let alone top coat, flatting back and all the other small things that go into painting that people dont realise.
Be lucky to get a bumper sprayed for that kind of money TBH.
I looked into getting a few bits done on mine the other day. Roof...
depends how much your emissions are out TBH,
mine failed the other day and was at 5.3% which is 5% over what it should be, replaced the cat, stealth cat back and new gasket, still failed again. was better but not enough. had to replace Lambda, hey presto... done :)
wont lose any power, probably wont gain any either, all depends on how dirty your current filter is and if its cureently suffering heat soak
noise, if you going back to standard you may lose some, although ive just gone back to standard and its a little noticeable on the ph1 even more...
Re: Rotarty price mistake
We can only hope! heart set on one now and if this doesnt come through i may have to fork out for a DAS 6 Pro which means putting more pressing things on a back burner lol
Ahhh so its just a space issue, thought that might be the case. Could you not relocate the battery then put it there or are you aiming more for more of an OEM look?
Does look really good i might add but i'd be worried about heat soak thats all.
Looking forward to this for you!
Probably a stupid question but is that air filter in the best location? seems it might suffer heat soak there or is it not really an issue with forced induction?
Nope not as yet, will try and get some once ive got it jacked up to do the rear shock
really impressed with the exhaust tbh, just need to get the blow from the cat sorted.
Yeah exhaust is lovely! just need to get the cat fitting kit as the one i had was obivously on its last legs and since being taken apart and used again sounds shite!
Sensor was £74 iirc from ECP, just said to get it from somewhere the quickest so could probabl;y find it cheaper from renault...
Old exhaust where someone had done a bodge job of welding it up previously!! professional welders would cringe at seeing these up close and personal!
MOT failure sheets in case anyone is interested
Sooo the MOT has been and gone
Failed badly :(
Exhaust had a couple of holes, Emissions was way out on a reading of over 5% parking brakes low on efficiency and rear shock absorber leaking
All the above has been fixed bar the shock absorber but i'll try and do it one evening this week...
