If you heat it up, eventually it will just twist off (the popular method is using mr hacksaw) but IMO oem gear knobs look the best, by all means spray it but I think they can look cheap.

Yeah but I would like to use it for uni at the same time, so I thought I might as well get more ram now, rather than in the future, I know I need a gaming mouse but is there really any greatness in a keyboard?

Some of us have to go to uni and work 20+ hours a week to afford uni, so I used to go SW meets but generally I can't afford to travel far, skip work etc. Plus lets be honest, CS seems to have gotten more bitter and less friendly over the last few months...
