We've all been there. The small clip on my old shaft failed and started leaking.
I would drain whats left in the box oil wise, remove the shaft and clean the inside and out of the boot and use a proper clip that will last and seal properly, not a random one. If it's not the right fitment / done...
Please don't make this
Look like this:
Keep this cars clean look and go silver or leave them black and spend the time and money on topping up the cleaning products.
Car looks great as it is, I really want another one everytime I see it as I haven't ever got time to work on mine lol
Spend an extra £20 and get some replacement wheel diamonds and door pillar badges so they arent in line with the mirrors ;)
Glad you saved it from just another generic "track based" shed like most of them are now
Great work. It seems this filler cap area is becoming more common now.
The flap indeed should have tiny rubber bung stoppers. I got some from a Laguna in a scrap yard years ago but am missing one again now :(
As stated Renault only supply the whole filler neck and the last time I asked they...
Which one mate?
Had a Meg 225, 197, and have a 175 dCi still, alongside numerous 1*2's and dCi 100 and so on
Driven a 250 Cup (LSD) which is in the eBay for sale section on here (Mapped with 300 horses etc)
I think you should get a Twingo 133 lol
For some reason I vaguely remember them selling their own brand coilover shocks standalone but maybe worth a phone call and you can check fitment. They are the cheapest aftermarket I can think of and I found the whole kit ok tbh.
Alternatively look into Sport shocks, but 40mm apex really...
If the springs don't physically fall out and are still located ok then I would of thought they would pass MOT?
I had the same issue with an old car but they were difficult to pull out and this was with the car well off the ground on ramps, hopefully you won't be leaving the ground anytime...
I'd sooner have everything working properly.. ? What is the point in having Airbags fitted if they aren't going to work? As you've removed the ABS I would get it reconfigured via Clip that it isn't there anymore.
Swapping clocks and having different mileage / fooling yourself that the dash...
Driven one?
Personally couldn't get on with the wife's 197 when we had it, compared to a 1*2 anyway. Handled great, more refined and nice wide stance, just the engine felt like something is missing, hasn't got that urgent feel like I get with the Cup? And MPG was just odd... !
It got smashed into the back of the Range Rover behind it also.. so unsure what the back was like but the front looks a right mess... !
The unmatched fog lamps, oddly placed R.S. badge and what looks like bodyshop repair mess in the engine bay / under bonnet with exposed fusebox should be...
Seen worse go back on the road, things can pretty much always be fixed one way or another, but I would hate a fellow enthusiast to buy it not knowing the whack it's had.
Of course it says Cat D in the advert, but sometimes this could be due to stolen keys, keyed paintwork, stolen parts etc
