Aye they are pretty quick. I bought an app which was priced at 59p, but I was charged £1.19. Not a bank breaker, but I pinged them an e-mai and you get told to wait up to 24 hours. 15 minutes later, I had an email back from an actual person and the full £1.19 refunded, which was a nice touch...

I was under the impression that if you sold or bought the car at the end, the excess mileage did not kick in. It's only if you hand the car back? That's what the guy at VW told me, and I didn't pay any excess mileage charge on my Clio (it was about 2.5k over what it was meant to be).
