My left light was out and when I checked the rubber seal was off so think that so water has got into the ballast. Do these dry out naturally or is it screwed? And to replace the ballast is it easier to remove the full headlight unit?

Its a valve to make the air induction noises meet eu specifications due to plastic piping being used. It should only really affect the noise levels of the car slightly and performance even less so. If you want to fit a larger bore air feed you need to remove this.

I'm off there tomorrow for mine and will hopefully give you some good feedback mate.

If you can't get it done pop to mine later and will do it for you. I have little hands and swapped both mine in 10 mins a day or two ago. Sidelights are even worse.

I've heard about removing the acoustic valve, does this make airflow better? And without loosing a fog light is there a better way to pipe the air in using an aftermarket hose? Cheers
