sounds like one of ur speakers is shorting out to ground or something... disconnect each one individually and turn the car on and off to reset the internal amp... this should eliminate which speaker it is

yes mate as long as u uprate the fuse at the front to match what all the amps fuses add up to u should be fine... probably best to invest in a power cap in the near future to stop strain on the alternator

Alpine 9850ri, blinding bit of kit but not much in the way of amplifier compatibility. only one rear pre out. becker units with ipod adapter are also very gd! there is a alpine unit with lots of pre outs and full speed ipod cant remember the model but around £500 9854!?!?
