So, my new spoiler arrived yesterday but my mum thought it was for her and hid it! So I've just fit the new spoiler and boy does it change the look of the rear end!

Well pleased! Thought it'd be a hell of a lot harder than it was - The scariest part was pulling the...
Fair enough, I'm not that keen on campus rears myself - Not sure why though :L
I'd say a few years tbh, so maybe I'll get it done a little further down the line, I just don't fancy doing it right now :)
Each to their own on that mod, that really doesn't appeal to me at all :L
Depends what you call expensive I guess, for me I'd say it was; especially with adding on the cost of spraying etc. and I don't have that kind of money (Not to spend on the car anyways)
Each to their own though
I disagree, I think sport bumpers in general look good no matter which Clio :) I'd get one if I planned on keeping the car for longer but I probably won't so I'm not bothering :) If someone gave me one for free I'd happily fit it to my car! ;)
I do agree that it looks super sexy but just can't be bothered with that at the moment :) Plus running low on cash atm :L
EDIT: Also I'm not planning on spending too much on the car because, at the end of the day, I don't plan on keeping it forever! :)
Gutted that they don't do the sport in our colour! Sucks! :( Might just skip changing the bumper for that reason tbh, cba with the hassle of getting hold of a bumper and then spraying it :L Maybe in the future :)
I'm not that OCD tbh and with such a small part like the boot button I may skip sanding - It won't look 100% perfect but it'll still be a colour coded boot button! :) Thanks for the tips :)
Good shout ;) I don't want to mess around with changing sizes and stuff, because I know with some bumpers you have to completely change the back end - Is that the same with a 172 or not? :)
Okay, thanks for the warning!
So if I skip this sanding part I'll still need to sand the lacquer though, can that be done with 320? If not I'll just go out and buy some :L
Alright, I think I'll wait until tomorrow to be on the safe side! :) Especially when the highest grade i have is 320 grit! I do have another spray so that's a good idea, I may do that to make life a little easier! :)
Just a quick one, I've now put four coats of primer on leaving 20/30 minutes between coats - How long until I can sand it? And how lightly should I sand? Just a run over or...? I just don't want to sand my primer off ;)
Thanks in advance! :)
Started doing the boot button today, sanded down and done 4 coats of primer:
Just need to sand the primer, add the TED69 paint from Halfords and then lacquer! :)
I also removed the bump strips and gave her a good wash all over today! :)
I think yours was the one that I saw first! Hope mine will look as good as yours when it's done :) And you're completely right, it should definitely come as standard! :P
Alright, cheers for the help! :)
Sorry, I'm not using what I originally posted - Gone with using Halfords spray :) But thanks for the advice on the rest of it :)
Sorry, should've made that one clear! That's the front passenger side door with the grommet taken off to get to the bump strips :)
I'll give it a shot with your advice ;)
Hi guys, was just giving my car a wash and wanted to get under the bump strips as it gets pretty grubby under them, only problem is that people say that it's just a slide off job but I found this...
Is that normal? And if so how do I go about getting the strips off? :)
