So now its saying NA, what options are there?
ITB's
RS2
Cams (various)
Group N timing
Bike bodies
Remap
Anything else I've missed? Obviously you can mix all that up.
If you've liked the drive home recently, why not go for some cams and timing?
That way, its NA and still remain daily comforts, will give you the reliability piece of mind over boost, and would probably be the cheapest option for gain in NA form? Nothing changes in the engine bay either so...
My RB feels and sounds so much better now! He highlighted how bad my gearbox was (which i knew) so im in talks with having one rebuilt. I did plan to do this eventually after the belts was done anyway. He also highlighted that i have a PH1 subframe. Not sure why thats been chnaged, but it was...
Alex sent me some pics during its time there. He changed the steering rack bushes the evening of me dropping it off so he could drive it to the alignment place first thing the next day. Upon changing the rack bushes, he noticed i was missing a rack bolt! Luckily he had a spare and fitted that...
With all that done, myself and @MrBlonde organised a little drive out last weekend while the weather was nice. It was just us 2 and we hit some good roads in north essex. Managed to get some good shots of both of ours too!
More pics can be found here...
After fitting them, i put everything back together and took it for quick test drive to make sure all was good. Indeed it was apart from the tracking being miles out.
Once back home, i fitted the grill sticker
While being off on furlough (was due to go back at the near end of may...
My inner tie rods came so i fitted them. I also ordered a grill sticker as i was missing one side. Oddly Renault only do one side, but i thought it was the side i already had. Turned out it was the side i needed so bought that.
Ordered a viscous fan spanner as my one was at work
Few more things have been done on the RB over the last few weeks.
I was told fuel had gone down and seen as the lockdown had been slightly lifted, i filled my car up. First time in 8 weeks!
Then took it for a drive the back way and got some pics.
Car looks so good with silver on silver. Stance is perfect on it!
Luckily, the bonnet was in good condition and didnt need to much filler, only on the front. It flatted down easy too. Will hopefully get it done this week for you mate.
Yeah silver on silver looks fresh, and nice to see TDs in silver with the ride height and spaced out wheels filling the arches.
Looks so good and pics don't do it justice.
I had my car alignment done by the same guys this week and like you, super happy with how straight it is.
Annoys the hell out of me when the steering wheel is slightly off/tilted. I think its more noticeable as its a smaller wheel and the renault sport logo is dead straight, but like yours...
No idea! We found a little spot along route and parked up. Asked the residents if we could get some photos, which they kindly allowed and this was at the spot, so we grabbed a pic as we thought it might make a cool shot.
No worries mate, was a pleasure to work on and add the nice bits to it. I cant take the credit too much as Alex did the harder jobs, but we did work well as a team.
Also, for anybody wandering, i dont work for AW Motorworks. I've known Alex for years and i had a week off, so we agreed that i...
