Escape Academy recently joined game pass, only done the first couple and apart from the controls being a bit s**t (better once you adjust sensitivity) it's pretty decent, one you'd like I bet @mace¬
Popped in here this morning and saw this post, been playing it quite a bit today, great little game. Had it installed ages but kept forgetting about it.
Mine expires at the start of 2023, hoping this still works then!
I think the problem with waiting is the low BIK is only 'guaranteed' until April 2025, so you don't want a lease going much beyond that. You need to jump on these schemes now to take full advantage, that's my understanding anyway.
Not sold the Clio, think I'm keeping it. Had a few offers but nothing high enough for me to let it go. Took it Wales last week and it was a great drive, the new suspension up front has improved the ride massively.
Inspired by @Marceliamous I decided to clean the wheel stitching today, such a...
Air cooled though, my old one (admittedly a Karcher) was air cooled and overheated all the time.
Upgraded to the water cooled one and it's not overheated once.
Not seen that, interesting, they're local too!
I've had a bit of interest in mine and a few offers but I don't need to sell it enough to let it go cheap. I've only advertised it in free places so far as I'm not that set on it going. I love driving it when I'm going for a fun blast, but it's...
A set of matching Recaros finally came up, kerching!!!!!

Always something to do when you own a Clio, the windscreen washer motor started intermittently playing up, grabbed one from the scrapyard while I was there last, didn't even know I'd need it at the time but seemed worth grabbing.
Fitted it today and it's now working a charm. Much more powerful...
The best thing about the internet is you can always find an article to support your argument 😂
Use this to justify a bigger set - https://www.avforums.com/articles/tv-full-hd-ultra-hd-4k-viewing-distance-guide.10704/
My viewing distance is about 9ft, so I need 65+ to benefit from UHD but Which...
Same, when the XSX came out I got the LG CX in 55" but I have big regrets not going 65". Maybe it'll be a good reason to upgrade to a mini led set next year!
I would like to try a 65" set, just to see what it is like before committing to it though.
Sony have made some fantastic TVs over the last few years, the 9500 series was brilliant and probably the best LCD TV ever made but they seem to have axed this more premium model (or did for 2021 at least, I've not followed the 22 models).
They still make some cracking OLED TVs, LG panels but...
Collected the pinch bolts this morning, got them straight on and it’s all done!
Went for a super quick spin, rides lovely, also a knock I had which I was sure was an engine mount has gone away too, presume it was the drop link which I’ve renewed.
Yes all from RPD, except the pinch bolts, I'm picking them up from my local dealer tomorrow. I was going to send the springs back when I saw how good the old ones were but then decided it's best to just use all new. The only thing I've reused is the dust covers/bump stops as they were perfect...
Mine was the same, I fitted a new stat (which is a doddle btw) and it sits just below the next notch now, so not a big movement. I did this at the same time as a big service, I noticed a massive improvement in running but it could have been a few things due to doing it all at once. Regardless it...
I considered it, but I want to keep this one standard. I think my modding days are behind me 😂
Got it all back together tonight, excuse the copper slip, I was being impatient with the brush. The only thing I need is new pinch bolts now, got some on order to collect in the morning and then it's...
I bought a bigger hammer and broke loads of wood but got the b*****d out last night:
The 'good' one is only bent because it was also pretty corroded so I stuck it in a vice to see if It snapped when I whacked it with a hammer 😂
Springs and top mounts actually look decent, but I'm just...
The MK2 was so much better. Two shock bolt and bosh, shock came out.
Onto the passenger side, pinch bolt nut came off easy, but the bolt was seized good, time for fire
The bolt is out, the shock is moving but it's way more seized than the other side. Stopped for the evening now, might do...
That's the thing, the rest of the car is really clean, no rust underneath or on any suspension/chassis components except the front shocks. A lot could have been replaced though, the front rad support has at some point.
Mk2's are so much easier to work on, what a s**t design to get the strut out.
It took me until it was out to work out what had failed, the bottom spring carrier/plate had corroded badly and broken away from the body.
As per @Hamburglar's request, I jumped on the Milwaukee bandwagon last night. I've had the basket ready for ages, ever since using my uncle's stuff when I got the Clio. Should all arrive tomorrow.
Ordered in M18:
FUEL drill and impact driver with 2 x 5aH batteries in the set they do
Boggo...
It wouldn't be a clio thread without one of these pics, looking like a snapped spring, I'm now waiting at a services to be relayed home which is a bit s**t.
Don't think I'll have enough light today to start taking it apart so that's a job for tomorrow afternoon.
First proper breakdown.
Having a couple of days up in the lakes, driving along and hit a pothole, heard a weird noise. Pulled over and the front spring carrier/base of shock is touching the tyre.
No idea whats failed, but now waiting for recovery to come and take me home.
