Not complaining about the tester at all, it's the trader that should have put a bit more effort in pre mot imo. But I guess most customers wouldn't care, and the fact it's been fixed afterwards is good still.
Personally I don't mind stuff like play in bushes or even a dodgy valve, but when it's...
MOT passed on the AG yesterday, collecting this Saturday all being well.
A bit annoying that it got a couple of advisories on the MOT, they have sorted the bulbs now but it would have been nice to have a clean MOT.
I can't be the only person who gets fussy about clean MOTs, advisories like...
It's worth enquiring, that dealership (the one near Market Weighton I presume) is a strange old place. It's not a big chain I don't think, it looks and feels more like a family business when I've spoken to them, so they might be quite competitive.
Did Mick get back to you? I'd hold off ordering any parts until you've spoken to him tbh.
Also if he supplies the parts and something fails then you can just take it back, worth the slight premium imo.
On a 1*2 the water pump is easy enough to do later iirc, so you could leave that off.
And back in my day no one seemed to get the dephaser pulley changed, now people change it at every belt change. But then for the sake of £200 it does remove some risk.
Also might be worth getting a quote off...
I'd just go to Diamond Motors, parts plus the proper tools and the price isn't much different.
It's a bit of a trek from North Yorkshire but you can make a day of it.
I posted last week about how hard work they were to talk to, but seeing a couple of rougher ones this weekend just made me pay the extra and go for this.
I ended up dealing with them via email as it was far easier to get straight answers that way, then when I called to do the final deal and put...
I'm thinking along those lines, they've offered £3.7k for my Civic p/x, if they'll do the Clio for the Civic + £3.5k I'll do it. They said they'll service the Clio but I'm happy to/would rather do that myself and like you say I won't use the warranty unless it blows up as it's just not...
I don't think this is a bubble waiting to burst.
More are getting written off, broken or snapped up for race series'. A 200 is the last ever NA hot hatch, ever, never again, this is it. I think prices will only go up.
That's nice, weird seats, but nice. f**king south coast again though, I...
Saw the one up north earlier.
It's far less tidy than the pictures suggest, front bumper didn't fit great, rear tailgate starting to rust a little under the window (seems quite common). No history since 2017, belts due this year, tyres pretty much dead. The roof wrap was awful, really poorly...
I was put off by the clearly dodgy MOT on it 😂
I did message the guy and asked if he had any more pictures and he just sent me the same pictures as in the advert, the people selling these cars are pretty hard work haha
About an hour up the road, just spoke to the guy, going to go take a look tomorrow.
The guy in Lincoln has text me to say he's ill so can't do tomorrow.
Another that has popped up, got the projectors and BT too, on Michelins so possibly enthusiast owned

Yep, noted those 3 issues already, front bumper fitment is a bit worse than usual too.
The guy has mentioned the bumper marks on the advert, re the door, I've been comparing to other ads and it is slightly more down than other cars but they're all a bit down it seems.
Like you say, no harm in...
The dealer selling the AG really annoyed me, so I've pretty much written that off.
I kept looking at the Lincoln white 200 and decided to call the guy to get a bit more info, the seller seems decent, he's also an enthusiast and has other 200s of his own. He was pretty honest and told me he...
Just keep on rubbing it in, getting the 55 will always be one of my biggest regrets 😂
However, at least I'll have a reason to upgrade in a couple of years.
