On my standard ( rs tuner ) 182 I changed before the redline as it dropped off once I got into the red, plus if you hit the limiter that's going to be slowing you don't aswell
Mechanical sympathy ftw
What did you use for the interia? Just rattle cans Or did you get it done professionally? Also does your mate who works for a Motorsport company do corner weighting for anyone who is it just for there own use?
Car looks good btw :)
Anyone on here part of this or who has spectated it before? It's at croft on Saturday and as that's my local track was thinking of coming down to watch
What's the format? 1 race pack up and go or is it an all day event?
Also is the public allowed to spectate
Thanks
I Dout you'd tell a difference on a near standard car between an rs tuner and a custom map, yes the custom map is bespoke to your car but it's not worth the extra £££
If you start changing cams and adjustments to timing then yes get a custom map but if not then stick to the rs tuner
Yes but if they have sent tracking confirmation surely they have sent them? Unless they come as tr1's if so they are going straight back! Lol
Masekwm what is the date of manufacture on the tyres you received? Hope they aren't old stock
Mine was Tuesday night so if not today then Monday, yes the tracking info says Budapest so yes from Europe, I've used tyre leader a few times aswell and they have came from Germany
Thanks for clearing that up mark, might just have to have the rear damping stiffer
Than on the front, will see how it goes
On track at the end of the Month
I've only Just realised now that the rears were 70 and not the 80's they SHOULD have been, the blokes a big let down tbh, messes numberous...
I ordered my Ast coilovers to have a spring rate of 450 front and rear I know the front are 80kg which work out at 456 lb but the rear have this written on the rear spring 200-70-51
Will that be 70kg and 399 lb?
Also if that is correct surely a stiffer front is bad and will in-courage under...
Yes, light rain they were fine but once it was raining hard and water was beginning to stand on the roads I was starting to slide round the corners, all be it they were B roads but I wasn't pushing on, also Aqua plained big time on an A road in a straight line made the car jump onto the other...
ive just gone for the cl5 for the brembos i used to run ds2500 in the standard calipers and they were very good, hoping the cl5 with the new calipers will be a even better package
must be a clio thing? ive known 2 pumps go and 3 different cars boil the fluid on track, why would the brakes affect the power steering? and im not sure tbh was fitted as part of my conversion
Happened to me at croft last week, was only doing short sessions 15-20 mins came in fluid was slightly bubbling but not dis-coloured so allowed an hour to cool down took it for 2 laps came back in all looked fine so went out done 3 hard laps and bang power steering gone! The fluid had boiled...
