I signed up to BT about 4 months ago, and all has been well until a couple of weeks ago, when the speed dramatically dropped to the point where I can't even stream video on YT. Download speed is 0.4MBPS.
In fairness to BT, they have been very good so far, phoned back when they said they would...
Evening all,
The lid on my Dell Lap top has gone 'loose'. It's as if there is a screw (or 2) missing, so the lid doesn't fix in one place. The sides of the lid also bow out a bit.
Is anyone able to have a look at it for me. As I have said a few times on here, I am completely inept with...
Parked in the middle of Tesco's car park.
Saw it as I was getting petrol.
Looked very smart. One of only a handful of V6's I've ever seen on the road.
The only other yellow V6 was at Lakeside in Essex.
My Mrs got her iPhone last Friday, and she is getting the "no sim" fault intermitantly (sp?). She has phoned Orange 3 times now and is getting fobbed off with turn it off, charge it up, clean the sim car etc etc. The best was, turn the 3G off, if that works, problem solved. Well not quite, as...
Can anyone recomend a HDMI splitter?
It's only for in the bed room, so I don't want to spend huge amounts on it, but want to be able to run a PC and a DVD on HDMI if possible.
Will there be a huge loss in quality on the £5 type splitter, or will it be hard to notice unless you're looking for...
Can anyone recomend a programme to do this that does it from start to finish?
Or is there a decent guide soemwhere?
Finally got some more space, so I can put some programmes on my iPod for when I'm working away, so want to get my sopanos box set on there.
Any advice appreciated.
I've got an old Dell lap top which is painfully slow at even the most basic things, probably due to having a whopping 512MB RAM. So a couple of questions:
1 - Can these lap tops take up to 2GB's of RAM?
2 - How easy is it to insert new ram?
3 - Is anyone on CS based in / around Manchester...
Is there anyway to adjust the size of graphs on an excel sheet, so that they are exactly the same size. I don't mean just dragging to re-size, I mean are there properties somewhere?
I've got to produce a 2 page report, most of which is graphs, so want them all to fit on the page exactly the...
Looking at changing ISP as we're with Talk Talk and it is horrificly bad. It's cheap, but I'm sick and tired of it fcuking up, so thinking of moving.
My question:
What is standard usage for say, email and general browsing, odd bit of downloading and streaming via youtube / iplayer.
I know...
I've just been using the iPlayer on the PS3, and have that through an optical to my DVD player + surround, but haven't got 5.1.
Is it possible to get 5.1 using iPlayer through PS3?
When I use it for Blu Rays, 5.1 set to DTS it's fine, get 5.1.
Any ideas?
It did it a couple of weeks ago, but now it is having none of it.
It doesn't give me any error messages, other than it couldn't sync.
Any suggestions on what's up?
The only thing I can think of, is that I have started using Outlook connector with hotmail, which is the only thing I can...
Can someone help me set up my hotmail account to run with Outlook.
I have tried doing it through Tools - Email Accounts - Add new account.
But it isn't letting me, every time I set it up and try and check my email, it says that access to the account was denied, check my username and...
I've just bought some music from iTunes, and the Mrs wants a copy, I take it she can't just put the files on a USB stick and then upload them to her iTunes?
Any ways around it?
Thanks.
I've downloaded some Oxford Uni lectures to my iTunes, which have gone into an iTunes U folder on my i-Tunes, but when I sync my iPod (classic) I can't find them, and there is no iTunes U option.
Am I missing something here? Why hasn't an iTunes U folder on my ipod? Where can I find them?
Well, decided I had had enough of this - Passat Highline:
It needed 4 new tyres and if I were to keep it, I would have serviced it. That coupled with not 'needing' a big car at the moment. I'm not spending hours a day in a car, so fancied going back to Ford.
Decided to get one of these...
We currently have a Sky+ box and sky connection, however we're at the end of the contract and we don't watch it as much as we thought we would, and the stuff we do watch tends to be standard digi TV stuff anyway.
So:
1) If we cancel with Sky, will the signal be completely blcoked, or will we...
Does anyone have a link to any sites which have a decent idiots guide to AV set ups?
I have a basic understanding, but want to get a bit more knowledge, but preferably somewhere that doesn't talk exclusively in technical terms.
Any help appreciated.
For some reason best known to itself, iTunes has decided to split 1 album into 3 catergories all under the same album - If that makes sense? I have a couple of tracks under 1, a couple of tracks under another, and the remaining tracks under a 3rd.
All the information looks the same to me.
Am...
The Mrs and I are looking for a new TV for the bed room. We have about £200 to spend (less would be nice obviously), but looking for something decent.
It doesn't have to be huge, was looking at 19 - 22".
Doesn't matter if it's in store or on-line, but don't want any 2nds or B grades etc...
I want to connect my I-pod through the surround sound system, which has the standard Aux In ports.
Is there anyway to connect it through a dock, pref with a remote and not through the head phone socket?
If so, links would be great.
Cheers.
Does anyone know anywhere to get a cheap lap top, doesn't need to be anywhere near top of the range, just good enough to surf and run I-tunes, will need CD drive.
The Mrs has a company lap top which is g@y with I-tunes it would seem.
Any suggestions welcome.
I have 2 tables of information, I have done some work on 1, but I now need to add the work I have done on 1, to the 2nd, but they are sorted differently. Does that make sense?
I don't want to have to check 4000 lines of data again, so how do I get the data from the first worksheet to match up...
I used a mates computer ages ago to knock up a CV, and the word document when you look in details says he is the author.
Is there any way to change this?
Thanks
Somewhat over shadowed today with the Lambo purchasing, lol.
Picked it up yesterday, 04 130 highline on 80K. Needs servicing, so that's booked in in 2 weeks for a 20K long life service and the cam belt, and then fingers crossed for some trouble free motoring.
Comments welcome.
I currently have a Dell Inspiron 6000, which is a few years old, and other than the battery being knackered (just bought a new extra capacity one), it's fine, however, I wouldn't mind it being a bit smoother when doing a couple of things at one.
Can I just stick some more memory in to improve...
Any recomendations?
I don't want to spend too much TBH, and I want one which takes normal batteries as well as re-chargable ones, so that it doesn't run out on a 3+ hour flight.
Saw this one at Richer Sounds, for £60, which seems pretty decent, not sure about the battery thing.
Any...
I don't want to pay anything, so I think that knocks out the N96, I think they want £150+ for existing customers.
My choices so far:
Blackberry Bold
Blackberry Curve 8900
What is the difference between them?
Nokia N85
Nokia E71
Don't really want another SE as I've just had a K850i...
Morning all,
I need some help with excel, I think I need to apply conditional formatting to highlight some data.
I have an if statement in which highlights the data I want with yes or no, however, is there anyway I can apply something that will highlight the row of data that falls into the...
